A Girl Called Gus and the Case of the Spider In My Shower.

I have a spider in my shower.

He has been living there for about two weeks now.

Way up in the corner.

Has hardly moved.

His name is Eugene.

He's still alive, but is not much of a socialite.

Thought I would introduce you to my spidey friend, Eugene.

Eugene, this is the world.

World, this is Eugene.

Here is my pointless blog.

A Girl Called Gus and the Case of the Endeavors of Alex, Sarah, Hannah, Brian, Kelsey, Doc, and the Horse named GPS.

Yesterday 6 of us ventured to the farthest city possible for Alex and Sarah's 2 year anniversary.
Portland.
We went to the zoo. Saw sea lions repeat the same pattern at least 20 times. A polar bear the size of my house, (okay so maybe I'm exaggerating a smidge) the lions, tigers, and bears, (oh my) even though the bears and tigers were absent, and basically every other animal in the kingdom.
Once we had concluded our zoo extravaganza we traveled all through portland for over an hour searching for the Old Country Buffet, which still remains to be found, and then we settled for a Greek restaurant who also sold fries.
Then we ventured off to Voodoo Donuts, amazing by the way, where I bought a bacon maple bar, which was absolutely impeccable. I don't think I'll be able to eat a plain maple bar again.
Afterwards we went to Powell's city of books, where we only stayed for about an hour which is about 7 seconds in powell time. Bookcases from floor to ceiling, everything from astrology, to first editions of the Hobbit, from C.S. Lewis, to every children's book imaginable. It was amazing. I could have spent the night there. Or the week there because of my infatuation with books.
Anway, that was our day, 7 hours in a car, Optimus Prime impersonations, Repetitive Sea Lions, Peeing Bats, Greek Food, Amazing donuts, one which was given to a homeless man, a GPS which was a "horse" and led us astray, and a bookstore the size of a village.

A Girl Called Gus and the Case of the Plethora of Anatomical Terms.

I am in anatomy class.

We're studying the skeletal system. aka. Bones.
It's a bit more complicated than "The thigh bone's connected to the knee bone and the knee bone's connected the the shin bone...." Things like the scapula, (shoulder blade) with parts such as the acromion, the coracoid process, and superspinous fossa. The humerus (or the funny bone..) with parts such as the medial and lateral epicondyles, the olecranon process, and the capitulum. It's overwhelming, yes, but dangerously intriguing. Entertaining as well when your partener takes the bones and trys to make a mask out of them, or use them as weapons....

Well there is my thought for the day.
Fare thee well Fellow bloggers.

A Girl Called Gus and the Case of "Disfunctional" Vital Organs.

My stomach is congested with butterflies ; my mind is on a continuous treadmill; my heart is distressed, and yet full circle with the Grace that encompasses it.

I am restless.

I don't know what to do.

I feel I have failed.

I have been "enjoying" the company of an untrustworthy companion named Anxiety.

"Don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your inner life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. What I'm trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don't be afraid of missing out. You're my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself." Luke 12:22,23, 29-32. [The Message]

I'm striving to whole-heartedly trust that God will help me push through.

A perfectly ineffectual, nonsensical, lugubrious, deplorable, inadequate excuse for a blog. It is a mockery to all that is blog-worthy. (This is where I let out a melancholy sigh of pacification as I say "Oh Well," and move on to another verse, another blog, another day.

Fare Thee Well my blogger friends.
Surely you shall soon see the termination of the Curious Cases of a Girl Called Gus.

A Girl Called Gus and the Curious Case of the Sandwich Extravaganza.

Today I was on facebook, like any other day, and I see "This is Why You're Fat" post a new food: "Bacon Cinnamon Rolls". This then prompted me to venture to their website and gaze upon the new ideas that people have generated. I crossed some crazy and weird sandwiche ideas. This inspired me to make a crazy sandwich of my own. I have no idea what it will be, but it shall be made. I am determined. It is likely that my determination shall fade away along side my sandwich creativity, but for now, it shall be done.
I am on a quest.
I am on, a Sandwich Extravaganza.
